“When looking for an eProcurement solution, we had a comprehensive set of requirements with special technical requirements. As an established marketplace, only simple system was able to offer us tailor-made solutions, for example for various account assignments or interfaces to SAP. In addition, the majority of our vendors were already active on the platform, and we were able to continue our business relationships without interruption. Even vendors who had not previously sold via simple system quickly became active on the platform due to the uncomplicated catalogue integration. What convinced us in particular about simple system are:

  • personal advice during and after implementation
  • the usability of the web-based platform
  • the regulatory options via integration into the SAP inventory management system
  • as well as rights management for restricting vendors and product groups of individual users or user groups.”

The result

One to two people per department, a total of just under 30 active users at KTR, are currently entitled to meet their needs independently via the platform. Only rights management and monitoring are still carried out by the purchasing department. The rest is completely autonomous, each order is automatically created as a copy in the ERP. The ordering process has been streamlined so that the purchasing department saves a lot of time for administrative work. “This freed up resources for important tasks such as investments or vendors selection,” says Trommer with satisfaction.
